Ali Booth - Brighton, West Sussex
Level 1 Qualified
Qualified Level 1 pickleball coach based in Brighton, UK and can travel around Sussex. With over two years of playing experience in local leagues and a proud member of Brighton Dink thriving pickleball community, I bring my knowledge and skills of pickleball together with my training background to deliver interactive and fun coaching sessions.
I coach beginners and improvers of all ages, offering group and one-to-one sessions for players and under 18’s that blend targeted drills with coached match play. Whether indoors or outdoors I focus on building players’ confidence, improve their understanding of the rules, and create a supportive environment for growth.
What fuels my passion is pickleball’s unique inclusivity, it is a game almost anyone can learn with the right support. I love how the sport brings people together and makes fitness fun, thanks to its strong social side and welcoming atmosphere.

Tracey Harman - Worthing, West Sussex

I am an enthusiastic Pickleball player and coach competing in local leagues and tournaments as well as
competing in the English Open. I have also worked in the Fitness industry, training clients for 30 years.
I started South Coast Pickleball Club in 2024 and offer social matchplay sessions, individual and group
coaching sessions as well as organising events such as Pickleball Festivals. I coached two teams in the
inaugural Sussex Pickleball League and both teams finished the season top of their divisions.
I am eager to introduce our sport to the next generation of players and am working in partnership with
local schools with this.
I offer fun and engaging sessions within an inclusive environment – everyone is welcome!

Claire McKnight - Littlehampton, West Sussex

I am a dedicated and inclusive Pickleball coach based in Sussex, holding a PBE Level 1 coaching qualification (previously IPTPA Level 1). Having discovered Pickleball over six years ago, I quickly developed a love for the sport and have spent the last four years helping others experience everything it has to offer.
My coaching philosophy is simple: Pickleball should be fun, welcoming, and accessible to all. Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time, looking to improve your skills, or aiming to compete, my goal is to help you develop confidence, enjoy the game, and achieve your personal objectives. I coach in a variety of settings, including local clubs, private lessons, and group sessions, working with players of all ages and abilities.
I am passionate about making Pickleball available to as many people as possible and have extensive experience supporting players with additional learning needs and disabilities, I adapt my coaching to meet individual needs, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to learn, improve, and enjoy the sport in a positive and supportive environment.
Beyond the UK, I have had the privilege of coaching in Uganda, helping to introduce and develop Pickleball in hard-to-reach communities. These experiences have reinforced my belief that Pickleball has the power to bring people together, build confidence, and create lasting connections.
Alongside coaching, I serve as Chair of my local Pickleball club and bring extensive safeguarding
experience from a variety of sources including in a sporting context both England Hockey and Pickleball.
As a player, I regularly compete in local and national tournaments and have been fortunate to play and compete internationally. These experiences continue to broaden my understanding of the game and help shape my coaching approach, enabling me to support players whether they are playing recreationally or working towards competitive goals.
I’m based in Sussex, but happy to travel. I look forward to helping you on your pickleball journey.

Brighton based IPTPA Level 1 & Pickleball England Level 1 Coach currently working towards my PbE
Level 2.
I have 30 years experience in Coaching and Sports Development specifically in Hockey, I am also an
IFBT qualified and practising Beach Tennis Instructor.
I am currently the Head Coach at DINK Brighton Pickleball Club & Coaching Academy. I am passionate
about introducing new people to the sport, helping improvers and developing our squads as well as
encouraging and mentoring others within the club on their coaching journey.
IPTPA
Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification. As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.
PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below). Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
