Welcome to the England Pickleball League
Uniting Clubs. Elevating Play. Discovering England’s Best.
The England Pickleball League brings together club teams from across the country to compete in a unified, high-quality league system designed to showcase the best of English pickleball. The League’s goals are to foster competitive play, crown England’s top club team in 2026, and ensure consistent rules and standards across all local leagues that make up the EPL.
All participants are expected to adhere to the Pickleball England Code of Conduct and uphold our core values of fairness, respect, and integrity. While venues are encouraged to have qualified first aiders available, players enter the League and its local divisions at their own risk.
The National England Pickleball League Directors, Martin Smith and David Hughes, oversee the EPL’s smooth operation and may amend rules when necessary, in consultation with local league directors. Any updates will be clearly communicated to all participants to ensure transparency and consistency across the League.

2024/2025 Season
The 2024/25 season was the first season where regional club leagues were brought together into a season ending finale. 16 of the 160 teams who entered the local leagues came together in July at the John Charles Centre in Leeds to compete to be crowned the first ever English national club champions. After a series of round robins in the morning the competition was whittled down to the final four teams. The first semi-final between the Southampton Sharks and Pickleball Central UK was decided in the last mixed doubles game with the Sharks just coming out on top 21-18, giving them a 3-1 games win and a place in the final. The second semi-final was an equally close contest between Baypoint Aces and Aldershot & Farnham (AFPC) Scorpions. Baypoint went 2-0 up after the gender doubles games but AFPC fought back to edge the first mixed doubles 21-20. However it wasn’t enough with Baypoint closing out the match 3-1 with a win in the last mixed game. The stage was set for an exciting final between the Sharks and the Aces. It didn’t disappoint with high quality pickleball played throughout. However the Aces were unstoppable taking the final 4-0, and were crowned the first ever England National Club Champions.Baypoint had travelled the furthest of any club to take part in the finals, and winning made the 260 mile journey back to the Kent coast that much shorter. Congratulations to the team on the day of Heidi Pile, Kirsty Robertson, Laura Yeomans, Scott Tift and Doug Neve, and all at Baypoint Pickleball Club.
