Gillian Collinson - Surrey
Level 2 Qualified

I became addicted at the very first pickleball session 9 years ago (with no sports background). I have gone on to achieve success at both the English Nationals and English Open.

I am so passionate about Pickleball that I want to share my experience and knowledge with you through coaching. I have been coaching now for over 3 years and to see the improvement in the players under my guidance is such a joy. I love it!

I mainly cover the Surrey area but am willing to travel. So if you think I can help you or your club please get in touch.

Seamus Cuddihy - Surrey
Level 1 Qualified

My sporting background is in Badminton. In 2018 I discovered Pickleball and it quickly became the most enjoyable and fulfilling sport I have ever played. I was captivated from the start and remain addicted to this day.

I play 4-5 times a week and medalled in several PbE tournaments. In 2024 I completed the PbE Leader’s course and attained my PbE Club Instructor (Level 1) coaching certificate.

I love to introduce new players to Pickleball and help them progress their skills, techniques and game playing strategies. Pickleball is so much fun to play! I look to convey that in my coaching sessions.

Ann Jago - Surrey

Pickleball is a fast-paced, inclusive sport that rewards precision, agility, and smart decision-making. My aim is to help you find your rhythm, read the game, and play with purpose—all while enjoying the challenge.

If you’re ready to take your game to the next level, I’d be delighted to work with you.

Juliet Mason - Surrey
Level 1 Qualified

As a Healthy Communities Manager, I introduced one session of Pickleball at de Stafford Sports Centre in Caterham aimed at those aged 60+ back in September 2023. It was so popular that I then added 2 more sessions for all ages and have introduced ‘Dinky – Pickleball! a smaller group session using our exercise studio for those with health or mobility conditions. I’ve loved seeing the progression in players from starting as a beginner to playing in tournaments.
With Dinky Pickleball, it’s been great to be in a position to adapt a session to those that might not be able to move around a court but still enjoy the pleasure that comes from playing racket sports.
Moving into 2026 we are looking at putting a 4th session on to cater for our more intermediate/ and tournament players.
I absolutely love introducing players of all ages and abilities to the joys of Pickleball having come from a tennis background myself, I am a total convert. Please get in contact with me to enjoy this sociable, fun and friendly sport. Beginner and individual coaching available.

James Townsend - Surrey
"I'm proud to be the first Deaf person from the UK to complete the Pickleball England Club Instructor (Level 1) coaching certificate in 2025".

I’ve won several medals, including Gold at the National Deaf Pickleball Tournament in the US in October 2024. In January 2025, I successfully organised and ran the first-ever Deaf Pickleball Festival.

I only switched from badminton to pickleball in May 2023, after playing badminton for over ten years. I’ve always been passionate about sports, including football, running, and fitness—and I’ve truly come to love pickleball.

I now serve as the Public Liaison for Pickleball England for the Deaf Community.
I’ve greatly enjoyed coaching Deaf players and introducing many new Deaf participants to the sport. I also helped form and support the Surrey Deaf Pickleball Club.

Everyone is welcome to get in touch if you’re interested in improving your pickleball skills or would like help starting a new group.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.

Other Qualifications

If you have another pickleball qualification (including IPTPA) and want to be listed on this page, we do require that you meet the guarantee on the top of the page.  We have a low cost conversion option to be recognised by PbE.  Email coaching@pickleballengland.org for more information.
