Welcome to our page of qualified Pickleball Coaches in the Oxfordshire area. Whether you are new to the game or looking to improve your skill, you can rest assured that all coaches listed here are covered by the PickleballENGLAND guarantee.

This means they have all:

Ciara Kelly - Bicester, Oxfordshire
Level 1 Qualified

I’m Ciára Kelly a passionate Pickleball coach based in Oxfordshire. 
I first played this wonderful game at Center Parcs and David Lloyd Bicester many years ago and have since been hooked by the unique playability and inclusion that makes Pickleball so much fun.

My background was a county/national Tennis player and a county athlete but converting to Pickleball was rewarding and addictive.

At David Lloyd Bicester, I currently run and coach Pickleball and also organise the Pickleball tournaments.

I offer coaching to players at all levels either individually or in groups. I aim for everybody to enjoy the game more whilst improving both their doubles and singles abilities at each session.

I am very proud to be a qualified PBE Pickleball coach and I hold an enhanced DBS, am Safeguarding trained and Sports First Aid certified. I also hold Public Liability Insurance, all of the above offer valuable peace of mind whilst you have fun playing Pickleball, burning calories and enjoying meeting new people.

Simon Watson - Oxfordshire
Level 1 Qualified

Following retirement from the rat race in 2018, I discovered pickleball, a far more enjoyable race to run!
Since then I have enjoyed (mostly!) competing in domestic events and travelling abroad to take part in
international tournaments, combining sport with adventure.
Founder of Oxon Pickleball Group & coach with the GLL Better Leisure Team, Abingdon.
Qualified IPTA Level 1, PbE Pickleball Leader and Club Instructor (L1).
Tournament player, community builder and passionate advocate for pickleball across Oxfordshire.
Usually found at WHLTC Abingdon – coaching, playing or helping others start their pickleball journey.

Miles Walkden - Oxfordshire
Level 1 Qualified

Hello, I’m Miles and I’m based in Charlbury and Chipping Norton, which are located in Oxfordshire on the Buckinghamshire, Worcestershire, and Warwickshire borders.

I run a friendly club called ‘Learn & Play Pickleball,’ where I teach Pickleball to new and intermediate players and host weekly sessions for people to meet up and play with players of similar abilities.

I teach all abilities and ages, from 8 to 80+.
I have a very relaxed coaching style.
I believe in having fun while learning.
I coach couples and individuals, as well as running small group sessions.

I help club players progress to tournament and league level Having come from Squash and Badminton, I fell in love with Pickleball from the first hit 6 years ago, entering my first competition, the English Nationals, six months later.

I teach at the local primary school and high school, offering particular help to disadvantaged and neurodiverse students.
I would love to chat with you about Pickleball, and introduce you to a new activity or help you improve your game.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
