Don't Drop the Ball on Mental Health
W/C 18th May is Mental Health Week
#Dontdroptheball is Sport in Mind’s latest campaign that comes with a simple message “don’t drop the ball on your mental health” – make sure you look after yourself during these challenging times because having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives more.
Sport in Mind asked PickleballEngland to get involved. They asked for our help to reach their target of 6507 keep ups, a figure representing the number of suicide deaths in 2018. This challenge is being co-ordinated in their memory
How can you help?
All we’re asking is for you to record yourself completing 10 keepie-uppies (or however many you can) with a pickleball paddle and ball. Then post your video on social media @sportinmind and @pickleballengland with the hashtag #dontdroptheball and nominate some friends to complete the challenge too.
To inspire you, here is a video of Chris & Karen Mitchell doing their kewpie puppies. PickleballEngland will create a video of the clips you post to @pickleballengland at the end of the month.
If you would like to make a £5 donation to support Sport in Mind’s charity work, please text BALL to 70490.
Together we can do this and help combat the mental health stigma. Sport in Mind’s website is here.
