Level 1 Coaches

Roy Eastwood - Stanmore, Harrow
Level 2 Qualified

I am a pickleball England level 2 coach. I have previously coached tennis for 35 years. I have been
playing pickleball since 2023 and have been travelling the country playing tournaments. Last year I
picked up gold at the English Open.
My mission as a coach is to use over 30 years of coaching experience to help players improve, enjoy their time on court and get real value from every lesson. I aim to understand what each person wants, build a good rapport, and deliver clear, professional and technical coaching in a positive way.
I believe lessons should be structured and purposeful, but also fun and coached with humour, so that
players leave feeling better, more confident and keen to come back for more.
I teach at the Aspire Centre, Orthopaedic hospital in Stanmore.
I coach all abilities from beginner to advanced. If you are starting out or just want to improve your game then please get in touch.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.

Other Qualifications

If you have another pickleball qualification (including IPTPA) and want to be listed on this page, we do require that you meet the guarantee on the top of the page.  We have a low cost conversion option to be recognised by PbE.  Email coaching@pickleballengland.org for more information.
