Issie Manley - North West - Southport, Merseyside & Lancashire
Level 1 Qualified

My name is Issie and I am a PbE qualified Level 1 Pickleball Coach.
I am based in the North-West of England, coaching Pickleball sessions to both adult and junior players of all abilities, across Southport, Merseyside and Lancashire. My sports club – The Pickleball Society – runs a variety of sessions throughout the week, such as: Social and Open Play, Cardio Pickleball, Xpress Pickleball (our fast-track course for beginners) and our Junior Performance Academy.
Alongside this, I work closely with local Primary, Secondary and SEND schools to introduce Pickleball to the curriculum, hosting a range of tournaments and events to grow the sport throughout the school year.

Mick Salmon - North West - Lancashire
Level 1 Qualified

Mick is a former professional football goalkeeper and coach for over 21 & 20 years respectively.
He first caught the pickleball bug in 2020 while living in Vancouver, Canada. In 2024 Mick went over the border to gain his USA Pro Pickleball Registry Coaching certification. He used this to coach at one of the largest pickleball clubs in Canada, Fairgrounds Racket Club (Capilano location in North Vancouver). After returning to England in April 2026 Mick wants to combine his love of the game and coaching experience to grow this amazing, inclusive and fun game in the UK.

Mick’s Pickleball coaching philosophy is “growing the game one shot at a time”. His
sessions are always fun and game based covering all aspects of the the game technically and tactically. Sessions will improve shot making, shot selection and will be tailored to all players whether you’re young or old, an absolute beginner or an advanced player.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
