Welcome to our page of qualified Pickleball Coaches in the Kent area. Whether you are new to the game or looking to improve your skill, you can rest assured that all coaches listed here are covered by the PickleballENGLAND guarantee.

This means they have all:

  • Passed Workshop Assessment
  • Passed the Rules & Workbook Exam
  • Passed the written reflections assignment
  • Enhanced DBS

Level 1 Qualified

I have been playing pickleball for two years and have developed a real passion for the sport as my game has progressed. While I also play squash, racketball, padel and tennis, none have matched the level of enjoyment and sense of community that pickleball offers — it truly feels more like a lifestyle than just a game.
I am based in Bexleyheath, on the borders of South East London and Kent, and have been a member of
Bexley Lawn Tennis, Squash and Racketball Club for over 30 years. I am part of the club’s Pickleball
Steering Group and one of two dedicated pickleball coaches.
I offer one-to-one coaching as well as small group sessions for players of all levels.

Level 1 coach available to teach beginners including children in schools in Kent, Sussex, Surrey. 

Safeguarding trained, First Aid trained, Enhanced DBS clearance and Full Public Liability with Pickleball England. Friendly, calm, passionate and caring about everything Pickleball. 

Affiliated to Tunbridge Wells Lawn Tennis Club and active training coach.

Dave Wood - Kent
Level 1 Qualified

I’ve been passionate about pickleball for 10 years and love seeing the sport grow in popularity every day!

My career has been spent working in, playing and coaching sport, and after recently retiring from my role

at Canterbury Christ Church University, I now dedicate even more time to playing and coaching

pickleball. I can truly say I’m living my best life!

Based in Margate, Kent, I’m happy to travel and offer coaching to anyone looking to improve their

pickleball skills. I’m also actively involved in growing the sport and introducing it to as many people as

possible. I love competing in tournaments and have even played in the US Pickleball Open in Florida

twice! Currently, I hold the national title in the men’s and mixed doubles 60+ category.

I offer coaching for individuals (1-on-1) or small groups.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
