Rania Aidley - Hertfordshire
Level 1 Qualified
My passion for community engagement started with volleyball. Competing against other schools and playing casually during the holidays helped me build friendships and gain valuable social experiences which I now see reflected in pickleball. This connection inspired me to become a certified instructor and introduce pickleball to my children’s secondary school.
In January 2025 I founded Active Globe: Inspiring Health, Social Bonds, and Friendship, a community group based in Harpenden. Pickleball is the first activity we are fostering with a focus on mixed play bringing together families, different generations, and those seeking social connection. I am also keen to provide additional opportunities for juniors who are not currently part of an active club.
David Pearson - Hertfordshire

I am an experienced and passionate pickleball instructor and have been teaching the sport since 2018. As the founder of a successful pickleball club, and as a mentor to other clubs, I play a key role in growing the game at grassroots level, helping players of all ages and abilities discover, learn, and enjoy pickleball.
In addition to club development and coaching, I work for Pickleball England, the sport’s national
governing body, bringing a strong understanding of best practice, player development, and the wider growth of the sport across the country. This national-level involvement ensures my instruction is delivered to high standards and aligned with the long-term future of pickleball in England.
I currently instruct at local leisure centres and pickleball clubs, delivering engaging, inclusive, and structured sessions for beginners, improvers, and more experienced players. Known for a fun coaching style, supportive approach, and enthusiasm for the game, I focus on building confidence, skills, and enjoyment on court – whether introducing newcomers to pickleball or helping players refine technique and tactics.
Paolo Rossetti - Hertfordshire

Hi, my name is Paolo and I am a fully qualified pickleball coach ready to share my passion for pickleball!
My whole ethos around pickleball coaching is to get as many people involved as possible, playing and enjoying the game. Whether you want to play recreationally or competitively, it’s a game for the whole family, kids, mums and dads, guardians and grandparents! It’s a game my family and I love to play together – this has led to one of my daughters and I competing in a tournament as a mixed doubles pairing……what more can a dad ask for! (And we even won a bronze medal on our first outing!)
I have a background in racquet sports, having played tennis from the age of 7. I have progressed to a strong club standard representing various clubs in the Watford and Middlesex tennis leagues. I started playing pickleball at the beginning of 2025. My interest in coaching pickleball followed on from running a pickleball Open Day at my current tennis club, which attracted a lot of interest from the local community.
I loved being able to share my experience and knowledge of pickleball to newcomers of all ages. This led me to the professional coaching programmes run by Pickleball England through which I have gained my Pickleball Leader’s Certification and the Club Instructor Level 1 Certification. In addition, I am also St John’s Ambulance First Aid trained, I have an NSPCC Safeguarding qualification for Child Protection in Sport and I am also DBS checked to an Enhanced Level.

Joseph Tirrell - Hertfordshire (happy to travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire)

I am a Proactive Positive Person who is a Pickleball England member and competitive player, having
taken part in national singles events while supporting the growth of both singles and doubles within the
community.
I began coaching at 15 and now bring 8+ years of experience working across recreational and
performance pathways within tennis.
I am currently a LTA Level 3 Accredited+ Tennis Coach, and I am completing my LTA Level 4 Senior
Coach Qualification, which has further strengthened my tactical detail, technical delivery, and overall
player development philosophy. Combined with my First Class Honours Degree in Sports Coaching, I
offer a modern, player-centred approach grounded in high-quality, evidence-based coaching.
I’m passionate about supporting all players new and experienced to improve, enjoy, and grow within the
sport of pickleball.
Based in Hertfordshire, I am available to travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire
for coaching, sessions, clubs, and events.

IPTPA
Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification. As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.
PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below). Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
