Lee Whitwell is joining us for her fifth English OPEN—and the NEC will be the third venue at which she has experienced the tournament.

From Southampton, to three years at Telford, and now to our biggest stage yet at the NEC Birmingham, Lee has been part of the English OPEN journey—and has become a firm fan favourite along the way.

On court, she brings unmistakable swagger, creativity and competitive spirit. Off court, she brings an incredible sense of humour and a refreshingly honest perspective on the sport she loves—something she has recently been sharing through a series of candid articles about pickleball.

Lee is an APP National Coach alongside Chad Edwards, a professional player, an experienced pickleball coach and the driving force behind GameChangeHer events.

And she will be doing much more than competing during her time with us.
