  • Passed the written reflections assignment
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Passed Safeguarding in Sport Training

Level 1 Qualified

I’m a Pickleball England Level 1 Coach with a background in tennis, squash and racketball. I started playing pickleball in November 2024 and have quickly progressed, earning medals in both Open and National singles events, along with several other tournament podium finishes in 2025.

My focus is on helping new and developing players build solid fundamentals, understand the game, and gain confidence on court. My coaching style is relaxed, patient, and analytical, aiming to make sessions clear, enjoyable, and suited to each player’s needs.

Based in Cheshire, I mainly cover the Northwich and Winsford area but I’m keen to support the continued growth of pickleball locally and throughout Cheshire.

Johnny is a full-time professional coach specializing in both Tennis and Pickleball. With 30 years of dedicated experience, Johnny is committed to helping players of all ages and skill levels build solid fundamentals, develop winning strategy, and elevate their mental game.

IPTPA

Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification.  As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.

PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below).  Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
