I hold in-date; DBS, safeguarding, Level 3 First aid qualification and I am fully insured to create a safe
and enjoyable environment for all those that participate.
Coaching philosophy
I have always enjoyed seeing people be challenged, learn and develop whilst they try to make the most of their attributes. I strive to facilitate an enjoyable challenging environment and create activities to enable player development, irrespective of age and experience. I believe everyone can improve, meet their own individual goals and play intelligent pickleball.
Paul Taylor, Cambridgeshire
Level 1 Qualified
Hi, I’m Paul Taylor, and I’m based in Cambridgeshire. I currently coach at Littleport Leisure Centre as well as other venues in and around Cambridge. Alongside my coaching I also work with Cambridgeshire County Council helping people get back into sport and discover the joy of being active again.
I come from a strong sporting background, having played tennis, golf, cricket, badminton, and squash over the years. I’m a Level 1 PbE Coach and a passionate pickleball enthusiast with over two years of playing and coaching experience. During that time I’ve developed a real love for the game and enjoy sharing my knowledge to help others improve and enjoy their pickleball journey.
I run sessions for all levels, from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to more advanced players looking to refine their game.
What to Expect:
My sessions are fun, friendly, and engaging, with the focus on helping you progress and gain confidence on court. You can expect a mix of drill-based training and social match play, all designed to make learning enjoyable and rewarding.
IPTPA
Pickleball England also recognise the INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (IPTPA) qualification. As acknowledged in the Club Instructor workbook some of the concepts in our curriculum are based on IPTPA.
PickleballEngland provides the coaching insurance for IPTPA Coaches listed on the IPTPA website (click button below). Since this is a dynamic list, we can’t list everyone on this page. We also don’t have visibility for which coaches have all the above evidence.
Other Qualifications
If you have another pickleball qualification (including IPTPA) and want to be listed on this page, we do require that you meet the guarantee on the top of the page. We have a low cost conversion option to be recognised by PbE. Email coaching@pickleballengland.org for more information.
