2022 English Nationals

WOW what a tournament.  The feedback has been amazing.  People LOVED the MLP English Style event. Players were telling us they were hooked to it on the way up to the venue and those that watched it at the venue said it was so exciting.  The players loved participating in it too.

Our first wheelchair event was enjoyed by the players and the spectators.  It also resulted in players from different clubs being able to network and make arrangements to play again outside of the tournament.  Congratulations to the Gold & Silver medallists – Terry Smith & Nick Smith (no relation) beat Cieran Park and Jim Cororlan 15-13 but it was so close, it could have gone either way..

The PbE Board agreed a strict eligibility criteria for the English Nationals as follows:

  • Players that are resident in England 
  • Players that were born in England but not currently resident in England 
  • Welsh players that are pbE members for this year ONLY.
  • Scottish, Northern Ireland and IOM players are excludedÂ
