JOIN US FOR THE 2.6 CHALLENGE!

Some pickleball players suggested that PickleballEngland should get involved with fundraising for the 2.6 Challenge.  So we put our heads together to think through what we could do and came up with a couple of fun activities that would enable pickleball players to get together on a zoom call whilst taking part in something.  Here are the options:

  1.  A 26 Question Quiz all about pickleball – test your knowledge against other players.  You get points for correct answers but you also get bonus points for how quickly you answer the question.  You will be playing against other players and there will be a real time leader board!  The player at the top of the leader board after all 26 questions will win a  Paddletek paddle signed by Kyle Yates and Irina Tereschenko.  This paddle was kindly donated by Mal Searle of SLAP and London Pickleball.  Second and Third places will win a t-shirt donated by Louise Stephens of London Pickleball.
  2. A 26 minute Home Bingo Session – you will be randomly allocated a bingo card to enable you to play along via Zoom.  Giving you a chance to connect with other players, have private or public chats together whilst also following along with the numbers being called and checking them off on your card.  The first to call a line will win 3  pickleballs; the first to call 2 lines will win 6 pickleballs. The first to call Full House will win a Gamma paddle signed by Lucy Kitcher, kindly donated by Louise Stephens.

WHAT IS THE 2.6 CHALLENGE?

The organisers have put together the fact sheet below.  PickleballEngland has chosen Breast Cancer UK as its charity to raise funds for.

This is because Elaine Shallcross our North West Regional Director is undergoing treatment for her fight against breast cancer.  We all know what a fighter Elaine is and we are confident she will win this battle. Like all vulnerable people, she could do without Covid-19 making the battle that much  harder.
